The 10th Annual Pomona Valley Film Festival

FESTIVAL RESULTS

This year was a resounding success with over 600 in attendance throughout the weekend! The rain couldn't keep the tried and true away from our 10th Anniversary Festival!

The judges had it tough as all the entries were winners.

This was another year where the judges felt the need to separate the Documentaries from the other Open/Experimental films. This is because we have had such powerful documentaries presented this year and in the past that we feel they should be distinguished from the Short dramas and experimental pieces.

For this reason, we have made the decision to formally add this category this year and in the future. We have added an additional prize of $100 for Best Documentary and $50 for Honorary Mention. We will not be providing Student prizes for this category.

Many thanks to the Judges: Kevin Mapp, Marty Olstein, Valerie Ross, and T. Kim-Trang Tran ( www.smogdance.com/2008/jury08.html ) Also a huge "Thank you!" to Showbiz Software for providing software valued at $2,100 as filmmaker prizes! And thanks to all the filmmakers for providing thought provoking, comedic, and beautiful images to the screen.
