The National Endowment for the Arts Challenge America: Reaching Every Community Invitational Initiative.
Annually, the NEA seeks out non-profit organizations that sponsor artistic projects and events to underserved communities. In 2006, the Smogdance Film Festival was sponsored with this grant!
The recognition by the National Endowment for the Arts will allowed the dA Center for the Arts to provide new levels of opportunities for the filmmakers and festival participants. It is our goal to grow the Smogdance Film Festival into a venue that will reach out to the community and connect our audience with new and emerging filmmakers locally and throughout the world.
