| DIRECTOR STATEMENT:
Making a film is hard, especially a student film. I can’t imagine the rest of my peers making their films without breaking down crying at least once due to the pressure of making a great film and the lack of assurance that the thousands of dollars they were spending was being put to good use. The theme of my film was based on something we were all going through. It is about taking the risk of dreaming big despite knowing that we can fall hard.
In all my work, I always try not to exclude children from my audience. I avoid unnecessary profanity or gratuitous violence and nudity. I make films for kids because I am a kid, even though I’m 22 years old. And I’m sure for adults, they would like to revert back to their innocent and naïve selves that they were when they were 7 years old every once and a while. I like to convey positive messages in films even though life can be negative and unfair sometimes. I find that the simplest things are the most entertaining. And lets face it, I make films for kids because it’s easier to inspire kids than it is adults.
