Captain Incredible, created for a class at the University of Miami, is a gritty musical drama about a young boy finding the strength to do the impossible.

A veteran of more than eighty Actor’s Equity productions and six SAG features, Mark Mocahbee worked for more than twenty-five years as an actor, director, teacher and writer. Reviews of his work have appeared in numerous national publications, including Time Magazine’s Top Ten Plays of 1994 for the world premiere of Brad Fraser’s Poor Super Man, (under his direction). He served on the faculty of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music for ten years, teaching acting, directing, voice and movement in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Regional theatre credits include the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Stage Group Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Shakespeare & Company, and Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati (where he served as Resident Director). The author of six plays and three screenplays, Mark served as a comedy writer for The Gary Burbank Show, a nationally syndicate drive time radio program. In 2004 he returned to school to study filmmaking at the University of Miami and in 2006, at UM’s ‘Canes Film Festival, Mark was awarded the Jury Prize for his gritty musical drama Captain Incredible, and Best Undergraduate Film, Best Director and Best Editor for the dark, dramatic thriller Interconnected. His latest work as Director of Photography was for 6:35, a short film about the last six minutes in the life of a revolutionary, was chosen from hundreds of entries as one of eight semi-finalists in the Action/Cut Film Competition.
