Evan Gütt: Animator, Digital Effects, Director, Producer, Production Manager, Sound Editor, Filmmaker, Director, Producer Evan Gutt is a 15 year old high school student and lives in Corvallis, Oregon. He is a self-taught filmmaker who has enjoyed making movies since he was 8 years old. He began by using drawings he made and combining them together "flip-book" style onto 8mm film. Evan then spent a lot of time working with "stop-action" claymation, also using an 8mm video camera. Eventually he discovered the digital camera, which he found much easier to use for the purpose of stop-action filming. He has gradually gotten more interested in computer animation and uses a variety of software programs and digital images. Evan hopes to one day work in the animated film making industry. Evan has had his animated short films selected and screened at "Da Vinci Days Film Festival" in Corvallis, at the "deadcenter Film Festival", and at the "Kid's With Camera's Festival" in Modesto, where his film "The Washroom" took first place in the Animation catagory. Most recently he has had films accepted to the "Chicago International Children's Film Festival" and the "California International Animation Festival". In addition to his passion for making movies, Evan enjoys juggling, unicycling and is also the drummer with a local rock band. |
