“Commentary: ON” is a film that tells the story of a man who tries to move on with his life after breaking up with his girlfriend. The only problem is after they broke up, she became one of the most popular movie stars in the world. Now forgetting her is easier said than done.
Rob Lindsay and Rudolf Mammitzsch created the independent Canadian film and television production company PARADOX PICTURES INC. in 1997, after meeting in the Film Studies program at Queen’s University. This creative duo have produced award winning television documentaries, commercials, videos and now the short film uCommentary: ON” has been added to their long list of credits.

Paradox Pictures Inc. also created and produced the award winning documentary, MAIDEN DREAMS that aired nationally on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. For three years, Lindsay and Mammitzsch followed the career of a thoroughbred racehorse as he developed from an untrained yearling into one of the best three-year old horses in Canada. In 2000, Maiden Dreams won the prestigious Sovereign Award.

Paradox Pictures Inc. has also produced dozens of Public Service Announcements for the TORONTO BLUE JAYS Baseball Club. Some other clientele Paradox Pictures Inc. has produced projects for include: Universal Studios Canada, 10-10 Phone Rates (TV Commercial), Southern California All- Star Basketball Association and AT&T.

Rob Lindsay is also a writer for one of Canada’s highest rated television comedy series, “Royal Canadian Air Farce”. Other writing credits Lindsay has to his name include, the comedy special “CBC’s All-Star Comedy Homecoming” celebrating 50 Years of comedy on CBC; CBC Radio’s sports-comedy series “National Pastime” and CBC’s annual “Countdown to New Year’s Eve Special”, which he has also co-produced since 1999.

Rudolf Mammitzsch is also a camera assistant that has worked on several top films and television series shot in Toronto. A select few of his long list of credits include -RESIDENT EVIL 2: APOCALYPSE; HENDRIX; FREQUENCY; GOSSIP THE CORRUPTOR; PAPERTRAIL; LA FEMME NIKITA; THE ASSOCIATES; RELIC HUNTER; HALF BAKED; and THE KIDS IN THE HALL’S BRAINCANDY. Rudolf is also an accomplished editor and has cut several videos for Paradox Pictures lnc and Universal Studios Canada.
